Butler Main Street Viaduct Replacement Project
State Route 0008 Section 283
Located in the City of Butler in Butler County
The PA Department of Transportation will be replacing the structure traversing the Bessemer
& Lake Erie Railroad, Buffalo & Pittsburgh Railroad, and the Connoquennessing Creek. The
total estimated cost of the project is $25,000,000.00. In all, 31 parcels are
affected by the project, with 3 non-residential displacements resulting. Right-of-Way
acquisition/clearance
concluded in January 2004 to allow for a spring 2004 construction letting.
Construction activities are projected to be on-going through 2006. For
