Pennsylvania Department of Transportation

|
Project Details:
|
SR 0403 Section 451
Located in the Borough of Clymer in Indiana County
The PA Department of Transportation will be replacing two (2) bridges located along this Rural Major
Collector Route. The first structure crosses the Two-Lick Creek (a navigable stream) and the second
crosses Dixon Run (non-navigable). A temporary bridge will be built over the Two Lick Creek
to maintain traffic flow while a new truss bridge is constructed. The Sherman Street intersection
will also be improved as part of the project and sidewalk replacements will occur in the project area.
A total of 16 parcels will be affected during construction with one (1) non-residential displacement
resulting to a Church; the concession stand serving the little league ball fields will also require
a temporary relocation. Right of Way activities commenced in fall 2008 and are to conclude by fall
of 2009 to allow for a spring 2010 construction letting. Construction activities are projected to proceed into 2011.
