Market Link Natural Gas Pipeline Storage Facility Widening
Located in Hunterdon, Morris and Warren Counties of New Jersey and Lycoming and North Hampton
Counties of Pennsylvania
As part of a multi-billion dollar effort to increase natural gas service to the northeastern US,
TransCo is constructing a new pipeline from Alberta, Canada to locations throughout the region.
IAS was contracted to provide over 130 appraisal reports and litigation support for affected
parcels located on the "Market Link" segment of the project. The Market Link portion of the
project consists of the widening of existing pipeline throughout Northern New Jersey and
North/Central Pennsylvania to store additional natural gas primarily for use in New York City.
Several appraisal firms were outsourced to accomplish this goal. IAS served in a review capacity
for the appraisal assignments and also completed appraisal reports to determine damages to
complex properties affected. The project was cleared within TransCO's allotted time frame with
a 90% settlement rate resulting and minimal litigation.
