Lafayette Street Extension Project
The Lafayette Street Extension Project is situated partly in the Borough of Norristown and partly in the
Township of Plymouth Meeting extending for approximately ¾ of a mile with termini on the eastern end at the Bridges over the
Pennsylvania Turnpike and on the western end at Ford Street in the Borough of Norristown. In addition to the Extension of
Lafayette Street, the project will include improvements to Local Roads (Ridge Pike, Conshohocken Road, Diamond Avenue,
and a new connector road). Also, the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is exploring plans to construct a new Interchange
for access to the area in conjunction with this project. As a sub-consultant to McCormick Taylor, Interstate Acquisition
Services will provide acquisition, relocation, and property management services for the Authority. The project will involve
approximately 38 parcels including several commercial and several residential displacements.
