Marshall's Creek Bypass Project
State Route 0209 Section 007
Located in Smithfield and Middle Smithfield Townships in Monroe County
The PA Department of Transportation will be widening and
relocating existing S.R. 0209 and constructing a new bypass
to alleviate congestion in the Borough of Marshall's Creek.
A section of S.R. 0402 will also be relocated. Numerous
intersections and township roadways are to be improved
in conjunction with the project. The total estimated cost
of the project is $62,000,000.00. More than 160 parcels
are to be affected by the project, with approximately
22 total displacements resulting. Right-of-Way acquisition
is currently in progress and will continue through 2004.
Construction activities on portions of the project are
scheduled to be on going through 2008. For additional
