Located in the town of McCandless and Pine Township in Allegheny County
The PA Department of Transportation will be widening the existing highway and improving intersections along a very congested
commercial area known as the Wexford Flats, located in the northern tier of the county. Project limits of authorization will stretch
more than four miles. A total of 98 parcels will be affected by the project: IAS has been contracted to coordinate the acquisition
of required areas from 69 parcels and the District 11-0 Right of Way Unit will handle the remaining 29 parcels.
Right of Way activities commenced in Spring 2008 and are to conclude by Winter of 2009 to allow for a spring 2010
construction letting. Construction activities are projected to proceed through 2011.
