SR 6219, Section 020 Somerset County
The project involves the construction of a new four lane limited
access highway through Summit, Brothers Valley, Black and
Somerset Townships in Somerset County connecting the
Meyersdale Bypass to the existing four lane highway southeast of
Somerset a distance of approximately 11 miles. The project effects
approximately 38 properties with 2 business relocations. It is
anticipated that an additional 24 to 30 claims for coal, cell tower,
oil and gas, billboards and other lease interest(s) will be involved.
Right of Way activities commenced in August 2009 and are to
conclude by late fall of 2010 to allow a spring 2011 construction
letting.
